Entering the competition:
Here are some tips for people considering taking part in the European
Cup. To eliminate mistakes or results which are ignored for purposes
of evaluation, we would request that event managers participating
in the European Cup carry out a careful registration process for the
various individual events. Please take particular care with the spelling
of names (whether or not there is a hyphen in or between first names,
for instance). For events in the Czech Republic and Slovenia, please
do not use umlauts or special characters (also, change umlauts into
ue, oe, ae and ß into ss).

Organisation of scoring:
The 19th series of races which count for the European Ultramarathon
Cup score will take place in 2011.
Runners of both sexes can achieve a European Cup score by successfully
participating in at least three of the runs which count towards the
Europe-wide trophy. Enrolment for each individual run should always
be directed to the respective organising body. It is not necessary
to enrol separately for the European Cup.
The evaluation will be based on a system for ranking men and women
separately. The task of coordinating this rests with the Rennsteiglauf
GmbH.

The award ceremony for the runners placed first, second and third
in the current series will take place at the last race in the series,
the Schwäbische Alb Marathon, as part of the formal award proceedings
at the end of that race. 6 prizes are offered, for the three highest
scoring men and women.
Once the final results have been published, each participant will
be able to print out his or her certificate from the Internet page.
There will be a functional t-shirt available for purchase printed
specially with a Europacup 2011 design. Details of how to purchase
will be provided in due time in the Info section of this site.
